5 Key scenes in The Walking Dead comics you probably won't see on TV.

AMC has surprised me with some of the gore shown, for a non "premium" network i was actually surprised with some of the stuff they got away with in Season 1 and Season 2, and although the TV show has gone of the beaten path of the comic books it has kept the core of what is The Walking Dead but there are moments in the comics, moments that are pivotal to characters and the story that i believe are far too graphic to ever see the light on TV so here are 5 pivotal moments in The Walking Dead comics that i think should be in the show but most likely won't.

WARNING: This post contains major and key spoilers to the comics so hit the Read More if you have read the comics or don't mind being spoiled.

5. Rick goes on a rampage.

While rick is out looking for more guns and to visit another survivor, a new compatriot Carl and Abraham get attacked by 3 rednecks who threaten to kill them and rape Carl while Rick watches. Rick bites one of them in the neck then proceeds to stab another one and Abraham shoots the third while Carl watches.

A very brutal, disturbing and gory scene that AMC could pull off, and it's a scene that changes Rick for better or worse i don't know if AMC will allow this scene, or at least how it happened in the comics, maybe a modified version.

4. The Governor chops Ricks hand off.

We saw Rick hacking the hell out of a zombie in the second episode of the series, but we're not sure if AMC will go the same route when it comes to Walking Dead's biggest bad (so far) The Governor who turned out to be a real sadistic son of a bitch and chopped Rick's right hand off after taking him prisoner.

It's not that this is particularly too gory for TV i just don't think AMC is willing to cut the hand off the lead, although it plays a big part in the development of the character Rick we just won't see this happen.

3. The Governor assaults Michonne

After cutting Ricks hand off, The Governor proceeds to rape and torture Michonne.

The scene is incredibly brutal and disturbing, i think they could pull it off the way Sons of Anarchy pulled off the Gemma rape scene, i think it's a key development scene for both The Governor and Michonne but will AMC go this route? or make The Governor more tame?

2. Michonne's revenge.

When Rick frees Michonne she immediatly goes to get her revenge of The Governor by tying him up naked, nailing his penis to a board, scooping his eye out with a spoon among many other horrific things. It's one of the most brutal and shocking scenes i have ever seen in a comic.

This scene, much like the rape/torture are 2 pivotal moments in the series for both Michonne and The Governor and just like the previous scene i believe they should be on TV, even if it is watered down or jump cuts because it's key development in the character of Michonne.

1. The death of Lori and Judy

After The Governor looses it and drives a tank through the prison and letting his people and a load of zombies inside, Ricks wife Lori and newborn Judy get completely eviscerated by bullets. This scene changed Rick, Carl and The Walking Dead series in general, it showed that absolutely no one is safe but will it happen on TV? I personally hope so and not only because Lori is one of the most annoying characters on TV but it needs to happen, it needs to happen to further Ricks character but i just can't see AMC doing it which is a shame.
